The house is stunning but our visit to the cafe was a disappointment. The soup, leek, potato and kale was not to my taste at all. Such a strong kale flavour with a handful of broken bits of bread surmounted with a micro leaf, which may have been beetroot. Produced with a large bread bun. I wonder if staff do taste their recipes. My husband did eat his but didn’t enjoy it, I couldn’t face more than two spoonfuls. I am a soup fan and know it’s not difficult to do, so come on make the visit memorable in a good way!

Massive gaff, interesting trinkets, great paintings, and underwhelming gardens in winter.

Wouldn’t bother, unless you wish to be treated like a peasant by their grounds shopkeeper

A magnificent building. Packed with interesting artwork. Lots of outdoor spaces for walks. Good children’s play area, which is apparently about to be upgraded.

A great day out for the family all year round. A fantastic playground for the kids and some good news, the playground is undergoing a revamp, opening Spring 2025. If you're not to far from Harewood I'd advise on getting a yearly family pass.

I visited Harewood house with a group of friends and despite the appalling weather we very much enjoyed our visit! Inside the house is an absolute delight and the staff were all very knowledgeable about the displays and memorabilia! On the evening of our visit our group enjoyed a private black tie dinner in The Hovels Restaurant, Hosted by the Hon. Edward "Ed" Lascelles! It was a fabulous event, with delicious, beautifully cooked and presented food and fabulous candle ambience!

My husband and I went to the Christmas display at Harewood House this week, ( mid week) and really enjoyed it. There was no queue, although I'm sure it would be busy at weekends. The house was beautifully decorated with some of the displays very funny! ( The theme is mischief in the house). Allow yourself around 45 minutes, then you could walk around the lovely grounds.

Extremely friendly staff. Went in at 3pm and was perfect to avoid large crowds. Rooms very amazing. It was a bit weird to walk in from the entrance, no paths or signs to indicate where the house was but it comes into view eventually

The fairy trail is fantastic. I would highly recommend it for people with sensory as it's very relaxing and calming. Th house itself is very welcoming and warm.

Absolutely fantastic Christmas themed event. The "Mischief at the Mansion" was amazing and the whole family loved it! Definitely recommend. The food and drink was also reasonably priced and tasty! If you don't live too far away, it was only a small cost extra to get a 12 month membership pass too!

It was a very cold day and you had to estimate when you would go in the house. Having 2 very young children, we went for a walk first but the children were bored. It is a shame the bird section was dismantled as it would have held their interest a bit more. So,we went to the bookshop, had lunch and decided to skip the house. The older if the two children wanted to visit the Christmas shop but having a baby to carry around as we had to leave her pram in a hut, was no mean feat. May give it a miss in fuyuntil children a lot older.
